At the same time, we have process-oriented operations and foster straightforward and transparent communication within the entire Flying Bag team.
When booking, you choose a pickup and delivery slot. 6 to 24 hours before the pickup, we will send you an SMS with a pickup time slot accurate to 2 hours. The same applies to the return trip for delivery to your home address.
We have scheduled our time slots to be as convenient and comfortable as possible for the majority of our customers. But the exception proves the rule: If no offered slot fits for you, please contact the customer support and we will check what alternatives we can offer you.
If you are unable to be there when your luggage is delivered, it is best to contact Customer Support so that we can arrange a new time or an alternative pickup and delivery location together. If the delivery or pick-up address is a hotel, you can leave your luggage at the hotel.
Yes, a Flying Bag Tag must be attached to each piece of luggage that we send you by mail. If you do not receive the bag tag by mail within 3 days after your order, please contact us.
Flying Bag is liable for lost luggage (see General Terms and Conditions). Flying Bag is liable for damaged luggage, provided that the luggage and sports equipment were packed according to the regulations. For airline luggage, the responsibility passes to the airline after check-in. If a piece of luggage is lost with the airline – or if it is damaged during transport by the airline, the loss / damage must be reported directly to the airline. Our customer support will be happy to assist you with any uncertainties or further questions.
You can calculate the price for your luggage transport on our booking platform. The price consists of a flat rate and the number of luggage pieces.
You can cancel the luggage transport free of charge up to 48 hours before pickup. In case of cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup, you will receive 50% refund. If you cancel less than 24 hours before pickup, we cannot give you a refund. Please also see our terms and conditions.
One way transports are only bookable online for flight luggage. For luggage transport door to door within Switzerland one way bookings will be available soon. Write us an email or call us for a one way booking in Switzerland. We will make the booking manually for you.
Our Customer Support is available from Monday to Friday from 09:00 – 11:00 and 15:00 – 17:00 by phone (+41 44 244 50 90). Of course we are also available by mail at hello@flyingbag.com or you can leave us a message outside these phone hours and we will call you back. In urgent cases you can press “2” to get connected to the duty officer.
Flight Luggage
Please note that the current valid regulations of the airline as well as the Swiss Customs always apply. For more information, please see our baggage and packing policy.
The web check-in with the airline for your flight must be done at least 12 hours before departure. Flying Bag is not able to do the web check-in for you, but only to check-in your luggage for you (bag drop). In order for the airline to accept your baggage, the web check-in must be completed by you. Bag tags (airline bag tags) do not need to be printed. The labeling of your luggage will be done at the airport by Flying Bag.
No, luggage tags do not need to be printed at home. The Flying Bag tag that we send to your home is all you need. At the airport, Flying Bag will label the luggage with a normal airline bag tag.
Since you are not personally present at the airport when your luggage is checked in, Flying Bag takes the airline’s luggage receipt for you. We will transfer the receipt number to your personal Flying Bag Cockpit after the luggage has been checked in.
Based on your name, booking reference and destination, the check-in agent is able to identify your booking in the airline booking system. This ensures that your luggage is checked in for the correct flight.
Relevant for the check-in is the first flight segment. Since your name and booking reference are known to the airline and check-in staff, baggage transportation to the final destination is ensured.

All luggage will be at Zurich Airport no later than 2 hours before departure. For all luggage transports we include a buffer margin for traffic jams or other unforeseeable delays.
Please follow the instructions of your airline. On the one hand, it is important that you pack your luggage correctly; on the other hand, we ask you to make sure that you do not exceed the maximum dimensions and weight. Flying Bag transports all bulky items that are within the airline’s regulations.
Baggage transport incl. bag drop means that we check in your luggage for you at the airline. For baggage transport excl. bag drop, we deliver your luggage to the pick-up point in the Capsule Hotel opposite Check-in 1 at Zurich Airport, where you pick up your luggage and then check it in yourself. We are working on offering baggage transport incl. bag drop for other airlines.
Check-in covers the entire process of air travel. It includes the validation of the booking, the assignment / confirmation of the seat on the aircraft, the drop-off of the luggage at the check-in counter and the verification of your documents (passport, ID, visa, COVID certificates, etc.).
During the last few years, the check-in process for air travel has changed a lot, in order, among other things, to increase the efficiency of the check-in process at the airports. For this reason, most airlines nowadays offer web check-in. With web check-in, all required processes are handled online in advance, except for the physical bag drop at the airport. The only reason you have to wait in line at the airport is to drop off your luggage (bag drop).

Basically, everything that is needed for traveling is allowed in the luggage. You can find a detailed list in the baggage and packing policy.
We recommend a bike case (hard case), bike bags or cardboard packaging. Of course, we also transport your bike without packaging. Please note that in this case we assume no liability for minor damage (for example scratches). Transport covers must be organized in advance and cannot be obtained from the driver.
Yes, there are maximum sizes and weights depending on the type of luggage. To the baggage and packing policy
